As the holiday season draws near, it’s time to start thinking about the perfect gifts for those special people in our lives. One group of individuals who undoubtedly fall into this category is our children’s teachers.

In a world where educators play a crucial role in shaping the future, a simple “thank you” may not feel like quite enough. That’s why I make an effort to express our gratitude throughout the year with thoughtful gifts to show appreciation for everything they do for our children.

This year, I opted for a holiday gift that they can enjoy all season long—a mug filled with festive goodies.

The Mug and What’s Inside

I found the cutest Gingerbread mug from an Etsy shop, and I had to have it!

Next, I headed to Target (of course) to pick up some items to fill the mug. I decided on a packet of hot chocolate, a chocolate bar, a candy cane, and a Gingerbread Man cookie. While those were my personal preferences, the options are endless—hot chocolate bombs, chocolate spoons, popcorn, candies, and more. When selecting items, I aimed for things that teachers could use in conjunction with their mug.

Putting it all Together

To put it all together, I kept it simple. I cut a piece of red and a piece of white tissue paper in half (I tried keeping it full size, but it took up a little too much room), and pushed them into the bottom of the mug, leaving some hanging off the edges. Once I was happy with how the tissue paper looked, I added the goodies to the inside.

THAT’S IT!

While I titled this post for teachers specifically, this simple and inexpensive gift would also be perfect for a Secret Santa gift or your next door neighbors.
