Every summer, my kids and I look on Pinterest for summer themed crafts and activities. One that they thought was really cute were summer themed dirt cups. We put our little spin on it and it turned out so delicious.

This Beach Pudding is easy to make, requires only a few ingredients, and is fun to personalize with your own little beach theme.

What do you Need?

  • Vanilla Pudding Mix
  • Milk
  • Heavy Cream
  • Blue Food Coloring
  • Graham Crackers
  • Beach decorations: Teddy Grahams, Candy Strips, LifeSavers

What Now?

We started with a large (5.1oz) vanilla pudding mix. The directions call for 3 cups of milk, instead of 3 cups of milk we did 1.5 cups of milk and 1.5 cups of heavy cream, so if you wanted to use a smaller pudding mix just cut the milk in half and replace the other half with cream.

First, you want to whisk in the milk until it is fairly smooth. Then using a hand mixer you will whip in the heavy cream. I did medium speed for about 3 minutes. Towards the end of the three minutes I added in blue food coloring, and kept whipping. Once you are done, set your pudding aside.

Next step, in a blender, add a sleeve of graham crackers. Blend on high until you achieve a texture resembling sand.

Next, pour half of this mixture into a 9×13 glass dish.

Then, spread your pudding over the graham cracker ‘sand’ (the mixture is thick, so patience is key here). Once the pudding is evenly spread, use the remaining graham cracker sand to create the beach.

Finally, for the fun part — decorating! We used Teddy Grahams as beachgoers; some lounged on candy-striped towels while others floated on life-saver rafts. To top it off, I fashioned a beach umbrella using a kabob stick and a circular piece of paper.

The Final Result

They kids had so much fun making this – they even made a reel if you want to find it on our Instagram!
